Vétérinexpo offers exhibitors and visitors a unique opportunity to meet key players from across the veterinary sector. Since its first edition in 1981, the exhibition has provided a platform to discover new products and technologies, exchange ideas and build lasting professional relationships.
History of the exhibition:
The first editions of Vétérinexpo were held in the cellars of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Cureghem, before moving successively to the Joli-Bois hall in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre and later to Autoworld in Brussels.
In the early 1990s, the exhibition moved to the Parc des Expositions in Brussels before returning to Liège. For several years, Vétérinexpo was then organised in the cafeteria of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
In 2001, as the available space at the Faculty had become insufficient, the exhibition moved to WEX in Marche-en-Famenne. Vétérinexpo remained there until 2012, when it moved to Ciney Expo. Apart from an edition held in Libramont in 2016, Ciney Expo has since become the exhibition’s main venue.
Vétérinexpo has also had to adapt to exceptional circumstances. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the exhibition was organised entirely online for the first time, with conferences and a digital exhibitor catalogue bringing together participating companies. The ongoing health situation in 2021 then led to the next physical edition being postponed until April 2022.
In December 2022, Vétérinexpo took the form of a congress at the University of Liège, offering veterinarians a programme of conferences and training sessions. Since 2023, Ciney Expo has once again been home to Vétérinexpo, welcoming the exhibition and its visitors each year.
In 2026, Vétérinexpo returns to Ciney Expo for its 46th edition, which will take place on 21 and 22 November 2026. We look forward to welcoming you!
